The wait is nearly over. That’s right, Microsoft’s new operating system, deemed “Windows 8”, will release this October. As part of Microsoft’s new approach, Windows 8 will be streamlined, simple and affordable. Unlike the previous versions of Windows (7 and Vista), Microsoft has returned to the release of just 2 versions: “Windows 8” and “Windows 8 Pro”. And, in addition to a much easier upgrade process, we are pleased to announce there will also be a much lower pricetag – $69 for an upgrade (from 7 or Vista), or $139 for a fresh install.
Pinellas Computers will have the upgrade and full editions of both Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro, in stock on the day of release. Our recommendation: If you want the newest, latest, greatest OS on the market, and are itching for new entertainment features and an all new, state-of-the-art interface, prepare yourself for the upgrade. And, if you just plain enjoy the peace and harmony of what you are used to, and are perfectly happy with Windows 7 in every way, stay with it.
Windows 8 is not a “fix” for a failed predecessor (such as Windows 7 replacing Vista). It is simply a scheduled “face-lift” for today’s ever-changing technology. Both Windows 7 and Windows 8 can exist harmoniously as today’s two most superiour operating systems in existance.
